Card effects are built to be inspected and learned. The best boards come from reading keywords, spotting triples, and knowing when to pivot.

Keyword language

Build your strategy.

Keywords explain why a board trades well, survives lethal damage, or turns one attack into a chain reaction.

Taunt

Minions are forced to target minions with Taunt first.

Reborn

The first time this minion dies in combat, it returns with 1 Health unless another effect changes that Health.

Chosen X

The first time this minion dies in combat, it gains +X/+X permanently and returns with half Health. Some Chosen effects grant stats immediately.

Colossal X

Incoming positive damage is reduced by X, to a minimum of 1 damage.

Crushing

This minion has 0 Attack and cannot gain Attack. When it attacks, it deals damage equal to its Health.

Cleave X

When this minion attacks, it also hits extra enemy minions. Rank 1 hits one adjacent enemy, Rank 2 hits both, and higher ranks continue outward.

Overkill X

Excess attack damage spills to enemies adjacent to the target. Higher ranks let killed spill targets pass remaining damage farther outward.

Multi-strike X

When this minion attacks, it can make additional attacks based on the rank.

Heal X

After this minion attacks, up to X random wounded friendly minions heal for up to this minion's current Health without exceeding maximum Health.

Lifesteal X

After this minion attacks, it heals itself for up to X damage. Excess healing grants permanent Attack.

Bloodied X

Enemy Beast minions prioritize this target. Beasts that attack it gain +1/+1 per Bloodied rank. Bloodied lasts for combat only.

Aura

Nearby minions receive a bonus. Additional ranks of Aura provide additional effect range.

On Play

This spell or minion effect triggers when played from hand.

Death Knell

This effect triggers when this minion dies.

Start of Turn

This effect triggers at the beginning of the shop phase.

End of Turn

This effect triggers right before combat begins.
